Review by hotel critic
Nestled in the serene embrace of Westerwald, the Alte Landratsvilla Hotel Bender feels like a delightful escape into an elegant Art Nouveau villa, where every detail whispers sophistication and comfort. With a superb location near the heart of town and ample free on-site parking, it effortlessly blends convenience with charm-perfect for a weekend jaunt. Upon arrival, I was greeted with genuine warmth by the staff, always a plus in my book. Their eagerness to assist highlighted the essence of Japanese hospitality that I have come to treasure. My spacious room, complete with a garden view and a cozy seating area, provided the perfect spot to unwind after a day of cycling the picturesque Westerwaldsteig trail, which I explored with a couple of fellow food enthusiasts. The free Wi-Fi was a handy perk for sharing my culinary discoveries around the region, and the on-site restaurant didn't disappoint; it was a lovely place to indulge in local flavors, reminding me of my beloved kaiseki experience back in Tokyo. If you're looking for a peaceful retreat that caters to both relaxation and adventure, the Alte Landratsvilla is a hidden gem worthy of your attention.
